"Be true to yourself and follow your dreams" ~ I arrived at London Heathrow, and took the bus in to town, and so my adventure began. Some of my friends said my time in the UK has changed me in a number of ways. I don't believe that anyone could be indifferent to experiencing such a complex and absorbing culture. I feel I am a better person for having learnt to adapt to it. If you are interested in my story, please follow me! Adventure began in the UK in July 2003.

Reading University, United Kingdom

Having finished my Accounting study and one year experience in auditing in KPMG, I was pursuing my Master degree in the department of Management of the Reading University, UK.

I majored in MSc in International Consultancy and Accounting in the department of Management. My supervisor, Professor Andrew Godley, is one of the best experts with a successful track record in Ethnic entrepreneurship; culture and entrepreneurship; international retailing; and independent financial advisory industry. I was doing Marketing strategy of International Retailing for my dissertation. I will say I had a wonderful supervisor supporting my ideas in every way he could. He was extremely helpful from the very beginning to the end during the research and did not let all frustrates discourage me.
The Department did give out distinction for my dissertation. I was very happy as you can imagine!

At the beginning of December 2004 we had our graduation ceremony. It was like in films: we all had to wear hat and gown (see picture). It was a really nice celebration and a wonderful way of ending a year that have marked me in one way or another.

More Changes Than Meet the Eye !!!
Through knowing many people and spending time in England, I learnt so much about myself and the things I can do. I became more self-assured and more open, and I started thinking sideways and evaluating every situation from many points of view and seeing the complexity in things. After one and a half year in England, I am not afraid to make new turns or take risks anymore. I have realised that although new beginnings may sometimes be connected with the fear of uncertain and unknown, they are the only way to gain knowledge and to change yourself and your life. The experience I had gained gave me a new broader outlook on my life, something I could not have had before. If you were to catch a glimpse of my desk now, you will surely figure out the England influence on me: Everything is perfectly random with no sense, and labelled with different colours and fonts. That kind of impact can be found in every small detail, in everything I do, and hopefully will stay with me forever.
